As parents, carers and family members of the students at Priory school, you are, by far the most valuable asset to our students and essential contributors to their education, health and care plan. At Priory, we hope that you have or will develop a good dialogue with your Son/Daughter’s class team through the home/school communication book, parent’s evenings, EHCP meetings or through individual telephone calls or meetings.  The Pastoral Team at Priory are Ruth Henley (Assistant Head, Pastoral) and Sarah Gough (Pastoral Lead).  However, you are always welcome to contact the school to discuss any concerns you have with the class teacher, any member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Mind invites you to a Carers Drop-In Group

Monday 8th February 2021 @ 6.30pm

Hello Everyone

Happy New Year!

Just to let you know that,  in addition to our monthly Carers Workshop, Nicola will be facilitating a Carers Drop-In Group via Zoom on Monday 8th February 2021 @ 6.30pm, for one hour.

The idea is to give you the opportunity to talk about and share your experiences of caring.

We acknowledge that some Carers may not have much support at this time due to the lockdown and restrictions, and also,  with this being an evening session, Carers who work during the day will have a chance to gain support outside working hours.
If you are interested in attending the Drop-In, please let me know so I can email you the Zoom link.  My email and phone details are below.

Occupational Therapy Workshop

On Wednesday 20th November we held an impromptu Occupational Therapy morning.  We looked at the sensory requirements of our students and gained an understanding of how to support these needs at home.  Our Occupational Therapist, Anne Wendt, brought lots of equipment along for parents to sample.

Sensory items can be purchased from  https://www.learningspaceuk.co.uk

You may also be able to apply for a grant from Family Fund to purchase sensory toys.
