Priory School is looking for an Artist in Residence & Creative Enrichment Lead to develop and coordinate our creative and enrichment programme across the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to bring creativity into everyday school life. You will work directly with students, develop new opportunities and help us create an environment where creativity, curiosity and individual interests are celebrated.

The role will include:

• Developing and coordinating a varied programme of lunchtime clubs and enrichment activities.

• Planning and delivering creative and immersive experiences for students.

• Developing the use of our immersive room.

• Arranging visiting artists, workshops and performances.

• Identifying external arts, cultural and community opportunities for our students.

• Developing creative projects, exhibitions and whole-school events.

• Supporting the development of consistent, creative and engaging displays across the school.

• Working with staff to encourage creativity within learning and the wider school day.

• Identifying activities and opportunities based on students' interests and strengths.

• Organising resources, risk assessments and practical arrangements for enrichment activities.

We are looking for someone who is:

• creative, enthusiastic and full of ideas;

• passionate about working with young people;

• confident in developing and delivering creative activities;

• well organised and able to manage projects from idea to delivery;

• able to work with students with a wide range of learning and communication needs;

• collaborative and able to build positive relationships with staff and external organisations; and

• excited by the opportunity to develop something new.

Experience of working in a special school or with young people with SEND would be desirable, but we are particularly interested in your creativity, enthusiasm and ability to engage our students.

This is a varied role which combines creative practice, student enrichment and practical coordination. You will have the opportunity to shape the programme and make a real contribution to the experience of students at Priory.
